Lecturer · Data Scientist · Software Engineer
I teach at KCA University, build production-grade web systems, and research information systems at doctoral level. I turn complex problems into clean, deployable solutions — from medical booking platforms to automated grade workflows.
I'm a Lecturer at KCA University where I teach across the KCADIPIT and KCABSCIT programmes, covering units from data structures to cloud deployment. I believe in teaching through building — my courses blend theory with real tools and live code.
On the engineering side, I design and ship full-stack systems. My current major project is DaktariHub — a Kenyan medical specialist discovery and booking platform with Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, M-Pesa Daraja integration, JWT auth, and a subscription monetization model. I'm also deep into research as a PhD candidate in Information Systems (commenced May 2026).
I'm based in Nairobi, Kenya and care about building technology that solves real problems in the African context — whether that's healthcare access, academic tooling, or cloud-native infrastructure.
A practical mix of languages, frameworks, and tools I use in real projects — from classroom demos to production deployments.
Production systems, academic tools, and engineering experiments. Each one built end-to-end.
A Kenyan medical specialist discovery and appointment booking platform. Patients search and book verified doctors with NHIF filtering and teleconsultation. Doctors manage schedules and subscriptions. Includes M-Pesa STK Push, Africa's Talking SMS, JWT auth, role-based access (PATIENT, DOCTOR, ADMIN), and 14-table PostgreSQL schema. Monetized via Basic, Professional, and Clinic subscription tiers plus per-booking commission.
Automated grade workflow tool that matches student marks from Moodle-exported ODS gradebooks into KCA University mark sheets across multiple units and streams. Handles lecturer row filtering, admin field population, and upload-ready formatting for trimester grading cycles.
This portfolio website — designed with a refined editorial aesthetic, Playfair Display typography, and smooth scroll animations. Single-file HTML/CSS/JS for zero-dependency deployment. Hosted on Vercel with a custom domain via Porkbun DNS.
Whether you have a project idea, a research collaboration, or want to discuss technology in the Kenyan context — I'm always open to a good conversation.
